Arlo

Introducing the fun, fabulous Arlo!!!  Arlo's background, as well as his breed, is a bit of a mystery.  He was found as a stray in North Carolina.  We believe he is a ~2 year old, 34# Cairn terrier/poodle mix. 

What can we tell you for sure about Arlo?  He is high energy and SWEET!  He loves his walks, and he wants to jump up on all the people going by, not to mention chase a bird or two.  He is very food-motivated and eager to please, so he will be a lot of fun to train.  He is pretty good at "sit", and he is learning to give his paw.  Arlo arrived from the shelter with a teddy bear, and that has become his favorite toy.  He likes to lie around and chew on it.  He rides very well in the car.

Arlo made it to his foster home on Feb 2nd, so his foster is still learning about him.  We think he might be house-trained.  He met cats both at the shelter and boarding vet's office, and he seemed a little too eager to get to them both times, so he needs a forever home without kitties.  However, he appears to love other dogs and wants to play with them.  As Arlo is still a little mouthy, we don't recommend small children for him.

Arlo is looking for an active forever family.  We think he would LOVE a yard in which to play and he might even make a good jogging partner.  He would prefer not to be left alone for long hours.
