Check out our gorgeous guy!  This is Orlando, and we believe he is a 6-8 year old "golden cocker" - a golden retriever and cocker spaniel mix.  He was rescued from a Delaware shelter where he weighed just 16 pounds when they found him as a stray.  Our beautiful boy currently is up to 38 pounds!

Orlando has recovered from his near-starvation experience beautifully and is now looking for his forever home.  He enjoys car rides, and he knows some basic cues such as sit, stay, down, and paw.  He is also house-trained.  Orlando snores a bit at night, and he will wait for you to get up in the morning.  He loves people and receiving lots and lots of attention.  Orlando is a lap dog at heart.  He will greet you like a long-lost friend if you are out of his sight for 5 minutes.  He loves going for walks, but could use some help with leash manners.

What does Orlando not like?  Other dogs.  He is also nervous meeting new people, so we are working on building his confidence and bringing out the best in him.  We are looking for a dog-experienced, adult-only, no other pet home for him.  Does that describe your house?  If so, please contact his foster mom today!
