Spring has the sweetest face of any cocker mix you'll ever see. But behind those eyes there's a question: "Is it safe here?" Spring and the other Flower Pups were abandoned in the yard by their owner and didn't get the socialization that puppies need to be able to face the big bad world. As such, Spring is very nervous in new situations and around new people. If you like to host parties or have the grandkids visit, Spring is not the dog for you.

However, if you love leading the simple life at home, where you do a little gardening, play with your dog(s), and then relax in your favorite chair with a good book or some Netflix, Spring would fit right into your life and (eventually) she'd like to snuggle by your side. Because Spring trusts dogs more than people, she will need a doggy sibling at home to help teach her that life at your house is great and she has nothing to fear.

Spring is 1 year old, a petite cocker size at 18 pounds, and has a full tail. She has sable (brown) markings on her feet and teeny tiny brown eyebrows. She likes having a crate with a blanket over it where she can retreat if she is feeling overwhelmed. She walks very nicely on a leash--slowly, with no pulling at all!--around the yard to potty and smell all the interesting smells of the world. She has been in a foster home since 10/13 and is coming out of her shell quite nicely!

Spring is overwhelmed by the hubbub of adoption shows, but if you'd like to meet her, you are welcome to stop by her foster home in Burtonsville, MD with your dog(s) for a visit.
