OBG answered a plea for an angel to save 12 year old senior Snoopy after his owner passed away.  Family members took him to a vet to be put to sleep and when the vet said no that he had much more life to live, the family dropped him at a rural North Carolina shelter.  We knew he had several medical concerns so we quickly transported him here to address the issues.

The most important thing is that Snoopy is the sweetest guy!!  He walks great on a leash, quiet in the car and no accidents in his crate.  He is a beautiful red and white cocker spaniel who could lose a couple of pounds from the 38 that he currently weighs.  This fellow enjoys walks, spending time with people, and cozying up next to them.   He is great with dogs, cats and dog savvy kids over the age of 8.

Snoopy's intake vet said that his ears were the worst ears they had seen and required immediate Total Ear Canal Ablation (TECA) surgery by a specialist.  This OBG sponsored surgery was $3300 but he has recovered now from the surgery and out of the horrible pain he was experiencing.  He is now deaf but still as sweet as ever.  During the TECA procedure it was noted that he has an enlarged heart so he went back to the specialist but received good news that there is no need for any medications!

All his medical concerns have been addressed with the exception of his cherry eye that needs surgery by a specialist.  Snoopy will have that surgery in May!

The best news ever is that Snoopy is now in a foster home and looking for his forever family!  If you are interested in adopting Snoopy please send an email to fabulous foster family at the link below.
