Oldies But Goodies Cocker Rescue

Rachel

Adult | Female | Adopted

On Saturday, July 25th, OBG Cocker Rescue facilitated the rescue of 46 dogs off of a property in Virginia.  These dogs were living in a hot barn without anyone to give them proper exercise or keep their water dishes filled.  They are now safe with OBG!

Rachel is super friendly and outgoing so you would never know she had been treated so poorly at the barn.   Even the veterinarian who treated her said he was amazed that Rachel always ran to greet him with kisses and tail wags.  Her intake pictures would break your heart to see the dirty, matted condition she was in at the hot barn, but she’s so pretty now, you couldn’t imagine it.

Rachel is around 10 years old and 21 pounds.  She gets along well with 4 other dogs and 2 cats in her foster home.  She loves to go on walks and has so much spring in her step and so much interest in everything around her, she seems much younger than her years.  At home, she loves hanging out on the couch or anywhere her people are – though she’s always up for exploring a new room or closet!  She is house trained and doesn’t mind hanging out in her crate when no one is home.   Rachel is deaf but that doesn't slow her down at all and she gladly takes her daily ear meds
