Henry is a happy, bouncy 5-year-old, who was picked up as a stray. Unfortunately, we don't know much about him accept his nameless ID # that was assigned to him at the shelter. Happily, Henry didn't remain nameless to become yet another shelter statistic. Our wonderful transporters sprung him from the shelter and he is now on the road to a better life.

Sadly, we discovered that Henry has one more hurdle to cross...he tested positive for heartworms. One little tasty pill could have prevented this horrible disease. Henry has started this very painful treatment and needs to rest for several weeks as the worms die off.

At the shelter, Henry was friendly with the other dogs, even though the kennels were extremely overcrowded. This says a lot about his temperament. He's a friendly survivor! One special request from Henry is that he does not want to share food with other dogs or humans. For that reason, this boy will need an adult home or one with no kids under 14 yrs of age. This pooch also likes to sing a bit so would be a better match for a single family home. Won't you consider fostering Henry while he completes his heartworm treatment? A human's touch and companionship would certainly aid in his healing.
