Pinkie was rescued with a group of dogs (The Flower Pups) who did not receive proper socialization with humans during a critical period of their development, so she tends to be anxious and frightened around people.  Pinkie was raised around other dogs and is more relaxed when dogs are present. She relies heavily on following the behaviors of dogs that are in her company. Due to her history, it is a requirement that Pinkie is adopted into a home with one or more doggie companions.

Pinkie is making steady progress in her foster home. She enjoys snuggling next to her foster family on the couch, curls up in bed with her foster Mom at night and loves to perform a perky little dance at meal time. She also spends time snuggling with the other dogs in her foster home and has even been found giving sweet, gentle kisses to the family's cats. Pinkie will need lots of patience and positivity from her new family to help her continue to bloom.

Pinkie is a beautiful, healthy pup at just 2 years old and 20 pounds. She walks very nicely on a leash in the yard at her foster home, but is not yet ready for walks through the neighborhood or the high level of activity at dog parks. She is looking for a home with a fenced yard for security and no small children.

Adoption shows are a bit overwhelming for Pinkie at this time, if you'd like to meet her, you are welcome to schedule a "meet and greet" with her foster family in northern Virginia.  If interested, please send an email at the link below to learn more about this sweet girl!
