Angus
Adult | Male | Adopted
On Saturday, July 25th, OBG Cocker Rescue facilitated the rescue of 46 dogs off of a property in Virginia. These dogs were living in a hot barn without anyone to give them proper exercise or keep their water dishes filled. They are now safe with OBG vets and getting the care and attention they need.
My name is Angus and I am a striking 5-year-old who was used for breeding and nothing else. I lived in a cage along with many other dogs and received no socialization, vet care or love. My job was to help produce puppies in order to line the pockets of my "breeder". Now that I'm free, I see this is a big, wide world and I don't even know what to do with myself!
I am the sweetest boy. I am very unsure of my surroundings but I'm learning as I watch and follow other dogs. Although I'm quite scared, there is not a mean bone in my body. I walk in a crouch because I'm not used to walking and I'm unsure of what I'll encounter. When a human talks softly and sweetly to me, I begin to trust and even snuggle once I know they are safe to love. I take great comfort in other dogs so my forever family must be one with a doggie sibling.
Despite my rough start, I walk nicely on a leash, and I'm working diligently on my outdoor potty skills. I learn fast and only want to please. Are you the family I can rely on to make me feel safe and most importantly loved? If so, please don't waste any time reaching out to me. I can't wait to be part of a real family, always and forever.
