On Saturday, July 25th, OBG Cocker Rescue facilitated the rescue of 46 dogs off of a property in Virginia.  These dogs were living in a hot barn without anyone to give them proper exercise or keep their water dishes filled.  They are now safe with OBG vets and getting the care and attention they need.

Nutmeg is a gentle and handsome dog.  He is six years old, weighs 30 pounds, and is an easy friend.  He has a regal look to him and has beautiful brown and white markings.   Nutmeg is still learning his name but is learning many other things as well. A lot is new in his life!  He is practicing responding to the bells on the door that signal that it is time to go outside and do doggie business.  Because he is so new to structure, a regular potty schedule has helped him to learn to run to the door and wait to go outside.  He usually goes about 15 minutes after breakfast and dinner.  Nutmeg is also practicing the sit command with some success.  He is a smart dog, eager to please, and just wants to love everyone.  He also knows "no" which means to stay out of something, like someone else's food.

In his current foster home Nutmeg is does well with cats and just ignores them.  He is a quiet dog which means he is condo friendly too.   The ideal home and family for him would be one with the time to invest in training him and teaching him how to fully be a family member.  Any kids should be older, at least eight years and above, at an age to know how to treat a dog respectfully.

Nutmeg loves going on walks and especially car rides.  When on walks with his foster family, he wants to meet and greet all people and animals that walk by.  He is very friendly and wants to love everyone!
