Stevie Wonder

Stevie Wonder is an approximately 6-7 year old chocolate colored cocker who was pulled out of a kill shelter right before he was put down.  From the state of his condition, it is believed that this poor dog, who is blind and helpless, had been dumped and roaming the streets for quite some time.  At his intake, the vet technicians spent 3.5 hours cutting away his mats and giving him a bath.  Additionally he had be anesthetized to get his ears shaved because his face was completely covered with mats and may have been punctured from an injury.  

Stevie Wonder is also heart worm positive which means he will need to be kept in a quiet and very calm environment throughout his lifesaving treatment that the will be starting soon.

Now that Stevie is in his foster home he is active, cute, happy and sweet.  He likes a ball in his mouth and will jump up on you.  Stevie continues to work on his housebreaking skills and we anticipate he will be there soon.  He does well on a leash and enjoys getting outside.
