Dixie Darlin'

Say hello to Dixie Darlin!  This very sweet 10-12 year-young gal has endured a lot.  She was found in a ditch in deplorable condition.  The shelter folks reported that despite the obvious extreme neglect she's encountered over the years, she is an absolute SWEETHEART.  They told us she seems so grateful to have been saved and we at OBG are extremely happy to be part of her rescue.

Now that's she's here, Dixie's medical issues are being treated.  She just had surgery to remove her right eye, which was not visual and severely infected. Her  right eye needs daily eye drops. She also got a much needed dental and is being treated for ear and skin infections.   She likely doesn't see much and may only hear a little, yet she may be the most gentle and loving creature you ever meet.  Dixie's been a trooper throughout all of the poking and prodding...she defines the meaning of unconditional love.
