Oreo

Oreo is a striking 5-year-old boy with a gorgeous blue merle coat.  He came to OBG after his family moved and he was no longer allowed the privilege of indoor living.  His owner knew he deserved better, and we are happy we can help Oreo connect with a family who can provide him with a loving home and shower him with attention!

Oreo is a very sweet boy.  He likes most low key dogs but is scared of larger dogs.  He's fine with cats and would be happy with older, considerate children. It's pretty rare to see Oreo without a toy or ball either in his mouth or close by. He adores his toys and absolutely loves playing ball. He's great in the car and on his leash.  Once he knows and loves you, snuggling on the sofa ranks highly too! Did we mention he's housebroken?

He came to us a little skinny and with some skin problems, but with prescription food and thyroid medication, he's gaining weight and his skin is clearing right up! Our vet has diagnosed him with Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). Oreo's night vision is a little blurry now and he is expected to be blind within 1-2 years. Don't let that worry you, though! As long as you're the type of person who doesn't rearrange furniture constantly, Oreo will do just fine getting around your home. The best match for Oreo is a low key but life loving home with experienced dog owners.
