Meet Dusty!

As a foster of over 10 years, I have met so many wonderful and loving dogs, but my goodness, I can’t think of enough wonderful things to say about this little boy.   We’ve been told he’s 6 years old but anyone who has met him can’t believe it because of his energetic, playful and youthful disposition.  We  think he’s mixed with Lhasa, sweetness or maybe angel dust.  Hmmm, maybe that is where he got his name.

Playful, happy, loving, snuggly and devoted; these are just a few words to describe this wonderful dog.  And, of course, house broken!

He came to OBG because his owner fell ill and it was obvious that he had been very loved in his life.  When I heard that he was a favorite at the shelter and also a favorite at the vet’s office (before coming to his foster home), I immediately understood why.  He has an unbelievably great temperament; he loves to kiss you and will even kiss adults and children he meets on his walks.  Oh and BTW, he loves to walk.  It’s really important that his forever home be one that will want to take him on lots of long walks.  Not only because he LOVES them but because he needs to lose a few pounds.

Dusty will be great in any kind of home:

He would be great in a home with children because of how receptive he is to hugs, holding and playing; he would be great in a home with adults because of how loving and devoted he is; he would be great in a home with other dogs because of how great he gets along with other dogs.  Dusty is truly the perfect dog in really any situation.  You will understand once you meet this little boy.

The minute you meet Dusty you will feel like he has been part of your life for years and he makes you feel as if he’s known you for years!
