Braxton
Young | Male | Adopted
This dark and handsome 4-year-old is Braxton, who was turned into the shelter because his family fell on hard times financially. Braxton is a 30 pound, healthy, house-trained cutie! He is very sweet, gives kisses, and is quite playful. Fetch is one of his favorite games. He prefers to play it with stuffed animals, but tennis balls will do in a pinch.
Braxton is smart and eager to please. He is food-motivated, making him fun and easy to teach. His whole body quivers with excitement when his foster brings out the clicker for a 2 minute training session. Braxton does not get up on furniture, nor does he get up on beds (he prefers to sleep on his doggie bed on the floor of your bedroom).
Braxton is definitely a homebody. We don't think that he was exposed to much when he was a puppy. Consequently, the big world is overwhelming for him. He would be thrilled to live in a single family home and have a securely fenced in backyard in which to play and to chase out all the squirrels/birds/rabbits. Braxton is much more relaxed if he doesn't go for walks or car rides. While we would love for someone to work with a positive trainer to help him become less reactive to moving things, it is more important that he is kept safe and happy. Braxton also puts in the request to be the only pet in the house.
