Huckleberry

Hi, I’m Huckleberry!  Mom says that’s the perfect name for a wide-eyed adventurous young boy like me.  You see, I’m only 3 years old and love to explore; wandering outside is one of my favorite things to do.  Maybe that’s how I ended up as a stray with my pal, Smuckers (oops)!  But now I’m safe with foster mom and I am only allowed to explore on walks or the fenced backyard, which is fine with me.  I’m just happy to have attention and play, play, play.

I have a silly curiosity, so I discover lots of things many people overlook – such as shoes, glorious shoes!  I don’t chew on them or anything naughty, I just hide them sometimes.  Mom says it makes her laugh, so what could make me more proud?  I’m sure you and I could come up with more fun games together, couldn’t we?  One thing I do take seriously, though, is house manners – I’m delighted to report that I’m completely housebroken.

I also love people. LOVE people!  From kiddos to seniors, I think they’re great.  Foster mom calls me her little lovebug because I greet them with gusto and want to sit on their lap.  Cuddling is certainly underrated, don’t you think?

And dogs?  I love them too!  Although I roamed the streets with Smuckers, I am happy to make new doggie friends in a new home – I know he’s safe too and that’s all that matters.
