Captain was found as a stray about a year ago by a good Samaritan who cleaned him up and tried to locate his owners. When no owner could be found, Captain had worked his charms and she fell in love with him. Unfortunately, her family's schedule meant that Captain had to spend a lot of time alone, so she surrendered him to OBG in hopes of finding him a home where he could get more attention.

Best news first: Captain is great with kids! He lived with a 2-year-old and 9-year-old and displayed exemplary tolerance, even when the toddler would climb on him and hang onto his tail. We watched Captain as he sat next to the snacking toddler, looking at the food, but never once making a move to steal it. Captain takes treats very gently, so we think he'd be great for a home with kids.

The good news keeps coming! This 4-year-old is housebroken and knows Sit, Down, Up, Kennel, and Back Up. He knows to wait at the door rather than rushing out. He even waits at the door when he comes in so he can have his feet wiped off. (We didn't believe it until we saw it with our own eyes!) He's a perfect gentleman for baths and nail trims, too.

Captain's tail is wagging non-stop. He loves people, playing outside, going for walks, and chewing on toys (which he's nice enough to not destroy!). His ideal home could have other dogs or kids (we can test him for cats if you want). He will need an owner committed to washing his ears twice a week, as he is one of those Cockers that is prone to infections. He's very compliant with his regular ear cleanings, as if he knows they're for his own good.

With Captain's winning personality and kid-friendly nature, we just know he's going to be an awesome member of your family. Won't you email him today?
