Scuttle
Baby | Male | Pending
**ADOPTION PENDING** No applications will be accepted. Please help us ring in the New Year by saying hello to baby puppy Scuttle! Scuttle is a mini Schnauzer who was born on 11/24/24, so he will be ready for adoption when he is 8 weeks old on January 19th. Scuttle's whole body wiggles with excitement when he sees people. He is full of snuggles and kisses, as well as puppy playfulness.
Before applying for a puppy, please carefully consider the following issues. Will someone be home every 2-3 hours to let the puppy outside? Our general rule of thumb is that if a dog needs to be crated for more than 6 hours/day total, then that dog is the wrong one for the person's lifestyle. Please consider Puppy Kindergarten classes - it is never too early to start training. More dogs under the age of 3 years are euthanized for behavior issues than for illness. Puppies (and dogs) are expensive. It will cost over $2000 this year alone to care for him (vet check-ups, shots, neuter, heartworm/flea and tick preventatives, food, and other supplies). We do not adopt puppies more than 1-2 hours outside of Washington DC.
