Andre Benjamin

Andre Benjamin’s owner was unable to care for Andre and he arrived in visible pain needing immediate medical care. We discovered that Andre’s knees were luxated, ears had a horrible smell from untreated infections with a large mass in one of the ears, and a significantly degraded left hip joint. We realized he would need several surgeries that were expected to exceed $10,000 and we were ready to do anything to help him. Sadly, an x-ray to determine if both hips needed surgery, revealed a large mass. After an ultrasound and biopsy of the mass, it was confirmed that sweet, unassuming Andre had cancer and only a few months left to live. Our hearts are broken!

Finding a foster home is always hard for a fospice pup, but Andre was lucky to find one quickly. Andre’s medical care includes bloodwork every few weeks to monitor the cancer, daily cancer-fighting medications, and lots of diapers! His current medical expenses of $1500 continue to grow each month with his continued care. Andre has no idea how sick he is and loves everyone, 2 and 4 legged.
