Starla

Star, or Star-la as her foster mom calls her, is a beautiful redhead looking for a very special adult-only home in the Washington, DC area only.  Her forever home needs to have a securely fenced yard, another calm pup and someone who is retired or works from home full time.  Poor Starla didn't get the love and care a dog deserves in its formative years, and it has made her fearful of new people, places, and sounds.  Star is doing very well in her foster home of over a year, thanks to an assist from medication and lots and lots of patience.

Star's ideal home will be one that is quiet with a routine. She is much more comfortable when another dog is around and she can embrace her doggy side and chase after toys with a friend.
