Luna
Adult | Female | Adopted
Luna is a remarkably sweet 7-year-old girl. She is good with dogs, kids, and everyone she meets. One day she could not move her rear legs. Her family could not afford the immediate, essential surgery she required, so OBG stepped in to help this little princess. Luna's surgery went very well and the piece of disk in her back that needed to be removed was done so successfully. Within a few days Luna started wagging her tail and using her legs! She has recovered from her surgery and is now looking for her forever home.
Luna is a low to medium energy 28 pound bundle of love and affection. She is a very sweet and gentle little girl that is housebroken and crate trained. But she is such a good girl, we don't think she needs a crate. Luna likes children and enjoys the attention they give her. She likes the company of other dogs after a proper introduction. There are no cats in her foster home so we're not sure about how she would do with them. She loves tennis balls, plush toys and an occasional game of tug-o-war. She is a great co-pilot in the car and settles right down for a ride. Around her foster home she is known as a professional cuddler and is very happy to keep you company while you watch tv or read. While she doesn't aspire to be an athlete, she enjoys her daily walks and is very good on a leash.
Luna has a condition called dry eye which requires eye drops twice daily. She is a real trooper and sits very still while you apply the drops or when she gets an ear cleaning. Luna is a quiet girl and would do well in a condo or single family home.
