Gizmo

*** Our sweet boy Gizmo passed away from kidney failure secondary to lymphoma.  He suddenly began drinking a lot and not feeling well.  He passed away peacefully with all of his foster moms by his side.  We miss him a lot!!!

Hi, world!  My name is Gizmo, and I'm 7 years old and weigh 37#.  I am a very good boy with an ideal medium energy level!  I parted ways with my family when it was discovered that I needed pricey surgery on both of my knees.  OBG took care of that, and now I'm as good as new!

Let me tell you a bit about myself.  I am sweet beyond words.  I really like being with my people, and I will sit on your feet and gaze adoringly up at you.  I would love to be an only dog.  I have a very silly side - I make my foster mom laugh all the time and that in turn makes my tail wag.  I enjoy toys, but I don't go crazy over them.  I like bully sticks and stuffed Kongs, but I mostly like to chew on my blankets. 

My foster mom thinks I would do best in a quieter single family home because I woof at noises sometimes.  I am definitely not overly chatty, but I do let you know when someone is coming.  I am a little insecure, so a calm home without a ton of visitors is best for me.  Also, I tend to submissively urinate when meeting people, so it's nice to be able to meet people outside.

I can't wait to find my forever home!  I'll need someone to continue to help me lose weight by not giving me too many treats and by keeping my portion size appropriate.  I don't mind you helping me to look and feel my best - I just want to be a good boy.
