Mister Jake

So exciting that Mister Jake has found his forever home already!  

He is an absolutely stunning, 6-year-old black and white parti cocker with champion show dogs in his family tree.  Please read his bio carefully, because Jake is much more than a pretty face, and OBG wants to be certain that he finds the right forever home.

His owner cares for Mister Jake very much, but when the baby in the family became a toddler, it was clear that Mister Jake was uncomfortable with the erratic movements of a small child. At one point, he nipped the child on the nose. (It was a superficial wound and did not require stitches.)  After a tearful goodbye, his owner gave him to OBG to find him a home where he does not have to be around any children.

Mister Jake is in great health and has never gotten an ear infection! (That's a rarity in the cocker world!)  He was already neutered, up-to-date on his shots, and groomed, which is a testament to how much his people loved him.  Mister Jake is housetrained, and in his previous home he used a doggy door.  He got along well with the other dog in the home but has never lived with a cat.

This handsome and smart boy already knows many obedience commands, like Come, Sit, Down, Stay, and the beginning of Roll Over.  If you say "Where's your ball?" his eyes will light up.  He LOVES to play fetch with tennis balls more than anything else and will carry the ball around with him in hopes that he can convince someone to play.

Mister Jake's perfect home will be one with an experienced dog owner with no children, grandchildren, or visiting children.  He loves to do things with his owner and needs someone who can play fetch with him, take him on long walks, and maybe take him to some classes.
