Mara

Hello! My name is Mara, and I am a four-month old Bassett-spaniel puppy (trust me, my short legs are the CUTEST thing about me!) straight from the shelter to the loving arms of my OBG foster mommy and daddy.

I keep getting praised for not using the bathroom inside the house (not once!) and I am mastering all of the basics that matter. I can sit for a treat, am learning to walk on my leash, go in my crate to sleep at night, and have progressed extremely well at not jumping up when I meet you (that last one comes from my foster dad; why WOULDN'T you want my kisses??). I get told daily that I am a bundle of utter adorableness, and well, my picture does seem to show my best side.

I like my chew toys and running around our little backyard, although I would love to have more space so that I can really explore. I have figured out how to snuggle right into my foster mommy's lap and like to fall asleep while she scratches my ears. She says my forever family will do this all the time for all time-- woo hoo! Are you that family? Will you and I get to hang out as I grow and learn? I promise to give lots of kisses, learn how to fetch, keep looking cute, and be grateful each and every day that you've brought me home.
