Ladybug

Sweet Ladybug passed over the rainbow bridge and here is what her loving foster and OBG President Teresa posted about Ladybug:

Earlier this evening, we said goodbye to our sweet foster dog, Ladybug.  She is now at the Rainbow Bridge.  Before OBG, she and her sister, Xena, had lived outside their entire lives.  They were both so frightened that they were afraid to walk on indoor flooring.  Unfortunately, when she arrived at our rescue, we found that she had terminal heart disease.  She was only expected to live a month or two, but she lived eight months and until very recently, she was a happy dog and definitely had quality-of-life.  She also came to really enjoy being indoors instead of out in the elements.  We loved her and will miss her.

RIP sweet Ladybug and thank you Teresa for giving her such a loving home for her last few months.

Say hello to Ladybug!  This 9-year-old beauty arrived at OBG with her best bud, Xena.  This very cute pair are like two peas in a pod.  They enjoy each other's company but have let us know they're okay going their separate ways if a family falls for one of them in particular.

Ladybug is an expert shadow, she loves to follow her humans around.  She's adjusting to indoor life after living in an outdoor pen for most of her days.  Indoor living agrees with her, it's just a big change.  If you approach her to dole out some lovin, her wagging tail gives away just how excited she is to be receiving attention and belly rubs.  While timid, she is sweet to the core.  We were happily suprised to learn she's housebroken too!  Yay!

Ladybug just visited a heart specialist and received some unwelcome news.  She has been diagnosed with severe pulmonary hypertension.  Her prognosis is likely several months to a year.  Medication will keep her comfortable but it isn't cheap at a couple hundred dollars a month.  We appreciate any and all donations towards her care.  She welcomes positive thoughts too!
