Max

Meet Max!

Max is a handsome reddish-buff boy who is 5 years young! He loves other dogs and has lived with up to 5 cats, so it's safe to say that kitties are friends, not food. Max is great with kids who treat him with respect and was good friends with an 8 year old and 10 year old in his past home. (A visiting child screamed in his face and pulled his ears and Max understandably had an issue with that. He nipped at her... but wouldn't you?)

This boy is relatively low energy, but part of this could be because he could lose 5-8 pounds. Daily walks and grain-free food will help him get to his goal weight and who knows, maybe he'll be a peppy pup! This boy also has dry eye and needs daily eye drops to keep his peepers moist and gleaming. Max  is  also getting some specialty vet help  to make  his ears more comfortable. He will need careful ear care for the rest of his life. For now, he loves to snuggle on the couch with his stuffed animals and his favorite people..

The perfect home for Max would be one with other animals so he wouldn't get lonely. He likes the company of other dogs. Kids would be a-okay as long as they're dog-savvy.
