Hi everyone, I'm Bootsie. I'm one of the Sweet Sixteen, rescued by OBG with fifteen of my closest friends and relatives! I'm a 2-year-old cocker/beagle mix.
Guess what? I just made it into a foster home. Although I'm glad to be in a warm home with loving folks, I am quite anxious and fearful. I'm sure you can understand that since my world changed in the blink of an eye, I'm not so sure about my new surroundings. I'm still too nervous to eat in front of my foster family but I sneak in a few bites of food when they aren't looking. On occasion, I get spurts of courage and my curiosity takes over so I've explored the place and have now mastered the stairs. Often though, I find safety hanging out in the corner. I LOVE the kitties that live here. We greet each other by rubbing noses and my tail wags :)
My foster parents are working with me and plan on "socializing" me, whatever that means. I think as long as we go slowly, this will be a great thing. I will update you on my progress soon. If you can't wait for my next post, drop me a line!
