Hi everyone, my name is Sandy and I'm approximately 5 years old. My foster mom likes to call me Dora because I love to explore! I came to OBG along with 15 of my closest friends from a home in West Virginia. After clearing up an ear infection and much needed dental work, I'm as good as new! I may not look like most of my cocker cousins, but that's because I'm a Cocker/Bichon mix.
My foster mom is always praising me for my good behavior, quiet gentle temperament, leash manners, and listening skills. It's probably good that I don't like treats, otherwise my petite little 18 pound body wouldn't be little for much longer! I do get a little scared when people first approach me, and get startled by these loud city noises; but that doesn't stop me from making friends, both the human and furry kind, and exploring my new home. But I may not do well in a home with small children running around, they move so fast!
I love to follow my foster mom around from room to room, but I'm not really a cuddle bug. I'd rather sit in my doggie bed than next to you on the couch (you would too, if you saw how comfy my bed is!) I like hanging out in the kitchen doorway when mom cooks and lying at the foot of the bed at night. I'm an independent lady who is ready to find my fur-ever home!
