Ginger

Hi, it's me, Ginger! I joined OBG after my previous owner fell ill and could no longer care for me. We spent ~9 good years together and we were very sad to part ways. Because I'm a ray of sunshine though, I suspect I'll bump into my forever family very soon.

I am the sweetest girl in town! I love being loved almost as much as I like to give it away. If I spot a human hand not being put to good use, I often find a way to sneak under that hand so I can pass along the hint that I am in need of some loving (check her out in action). It may not be subtle, but hey, a girl has to do what a girl has to do! I am very well behaved and sometimes enjoy spending time in my crate with the door open. My previous family must have fed me in the crate because I run into it with excitement when I spy dinner being prepared - by the way, a quick way to my heart is carrots and green beans! (check out Ginger learning to use a treat ball to slow her food intake and work off some calories!) I know several commands and have perfect leash manners plus I'm completely housebroken. How do I sound so far?

I'm looking for a forever home where I can be the one and only fur child. I like to be front and center and I promise I have enough love to make your life complete! I should mention my ears don't hear as well as they once did but that's no biggie. I just need some medication to help.  My vet removed a mast cell tumor and fortunately all went well and I have a great prognosis. I'll just need a owner to monitor me closely.
