Oldies But Goodies Cocker Rescue

Dylan

Senior | Male | Adopted

Why, hello!  First, let me introduce myself – I’m Dylan of the Be Mine 9.  In case you missed it, I was surrendered to OBG with 8 of my best friends.  Though we weren’t in good shape, we’ve recovered and many of them have found their forever homes – that’s what I’m hoping for, too.  At 10 years old, I can’t wait to have a forever family all my own!

Don’t get me wrong, I am loving life with OBG and my foster family!  Let’s see, I have two cat siblings who are 12 years old and explore the yard with me.  Jesse the cat has even taken to grooming me.  (I let him every so often, just so he feels useful).  I meet dogs slowly and prefer to greet them from the side.  You see, I’m blind and hard of hearing, so nose to nose greetings scare and startle me.  Of course I’d love to “interview” any new brothers and sisters…a guy has to have a little say in the matter of a forever home, doesn’t  he?

Then there’s foster mom, she’s great too.  Mom works from home one day a week and I kinda like it!  I think I would be really good company for someone who is home more often than not.  We could go exploring together and I can help you get in great shape.  Currently, I take a 30 minute walk every day with my foster Mom or my special dog walker, so I am building up some shapely cocker legs!  I like to meet new people and can tell when someone is outside – in fact, many people tell mom they don’t even know I’m blind, I get along so well.  I live in single story house with a nice fenced-in back yard.  I really enjoy sniffing and exploring the yard and know that’s where I need to do my business.  Yep, a sage old gent like me comes completely housetrained.

Above all, Mom says I’m a sweetie pie!  I don’t know what that means – isn’t pie for eating? – but I’ll take it, cuz I think it’s a compliment!

I hope to meet you at an adoption event or send a message to my Mom and she will set up a meet and greet.

A special thanks to Jeanne Taylor of Jeanne Taylor Photography/Pet Portraits by Jeanne Taylor for the beautiful pictures of Dylan.
