Nelson

Nelson in the house!  This beautiful 8 year old, 27 pound boy was dumped at a North Carolina shelter after living his entire life outside in a pen.  Nelson was very scared at the shelter and cowered in his kennel while at the shelter.  Once out of the kennel, he warms up nicely for the shelter staff, transporters and the vet's staff too.  He was tested with dogs and cats at the shelter and Nelson was fine with both.

Nelson is keeping his crate clean and has been very sweet for all handling with our vet.  We just found out that he is heart worm positive and must endure life-saving treatment over the next three months.  This OBG-sponsored treatment is $1500 and will save Nelson's life!  Additionally Nelson has a mature cataract in one eye so will be seeing our eye specialist very soon.
