Star

Please welcome our shining Star!  Star is 10-12 years old and weighs just 22#.   She was found as a stray, but she was clearly a cared for pet in the past.

Star is wins the prize for easiest foster dog ever!  She settled into her new foster home in about 5 minutes.  She is house-trained, gets along well with the dogs and cats in her foster home, does not get up on furniture, does not get into any trouble at all, and has yet to bark.  She is gentle and sweet and a delight to have around.  Best of all, she gives tiny little kisses and takes treats very gently.

Star is blind, but she doesn't let that slow her down.  She explores her surroundings fearlessly, and she walks well on a leash.  She loves being outside in this beautiful weather.  She is also mostly deaf, but she does hear some noises.  Star has a history of cancerous tumors that were removed, so she is on an NSAID (carprofen) to slow down growth/spread of any remaining cancer cells.  She doesn't have any signs of cancer currently.  Otherwise, she is in good health.  If you can open up your home and heart to this angel of a dog, please contact her foster at the link below.
