I'm Romeo, named because of all the love I have to give.

I'm a blue Merle Cockapoo, Cocker Spaniel and Poodle mix. I'm a bit on the smaller side, weighing under 20 lbs. I have an average energy level, I like to play and spend time looking out the window but am also happy watching TV and will often lay and sleep for hours too. I like to be outside and would love to have a fenced in yard to enjoy. I am good on a leash although, I don't get walks often and am happy with my yard time.

I was found 2 years ago as a stray. I am neutered. I'm crate trained but only sleep in my crate at night time. During the day I can be out of my crate.  I do need someone to keep me on my outside schedule to keep my good potty manners. I do well alone in the house if it's not too long of an extended time and even on the occasion, my mommy has gone to the beach for the day, and I was still a good boy. I do not chew up or destroy things, although I am a pro at getting into the trash can so it would be best if that were put where I can't get it.

I'm good with kids 10 and older.  I live with kids currently but a home without kids might be the best fit unless the kids, are older and can be respectful of my needs to not be handled roughly or cuddled all the time and give me space when I need it.

I do like certain dogs and actually get quite excited to play. I would prefer a female to play with. Ive been playing with a female toy poodle and she is lots of fun. I'm more dominant when it comes to play, and she is older than me, so sometimes it takes some nudging to get her going. I live with a puppy and him, I am not fond of. I think I may prefer a home where I could be the only dog or the next best thing would be a smaller to medium sized female dog.

I have a huge loving personality and prefer to be in your lap, cuddled up with you. When visitors come over, I'm get super excited and will jump in the air until they sit so I jump up into their laps.

My current mommy has been doing my grooming, I love getting my hair cut and blow dried on cool. I even fall asleep.  I had some anxiety at the groomers previously but I was very matted as a stray when I went. Don't really like baths or getting my nails clipped but from what I hear most dogs don't!

My mommy had started treat training and found I'm easy to train. I love toys, treats, Hoofs and pig ears. I am verbal and will bark and talk to you, my mommy talks to me often. I will do a soft growl if I'm scared. Im not a big fan of motorcycles or fire works.
