Look who just landed on our doorstep!  It's Briar Patch, a pretty parti cocker with the sweetest, most gentle disposition.   She was found wandering around aimlessly when Animal Control picked her up.  Her sad eyes and gentle disposition touched a rescue worker who ensured she got out of the shelter and on to OBG.  We are thrilled to have Briar!

Briar is a darling cocker; she rode great in the car on her 2 hour freedom ride and loves her little security blanket monkey stuffed animal!  This pooch's little cocker nub is on speed dial -- happy motion with the slightest human touch.  Despite dimished hearing and not being able to see, she is a dog who is fully engaged with life.  While we estimate her to be 9-10 years old, she does not act like a senior and wants to walk, play, and be active.   She loves toys and always remembers where she dropped one!

If you guessed that Briar got her name based on her condition when she was found, sadly you guessed right.  Our girl was severely matted and covered in briars, and her eyes were grossly infected.  She has since been cleaned up and visited our eye specialist.  We learned that, sadly, Briar had an injury in the past, and her vision is gone, but this girl sees with her big heart.

Stay tuned for more.  Watch out, this little charmer may steal your heart!
