Malabar

Malabar is an honorary cocker. He's a 2 year old Border Collie mix that weighs 38 pounds. Sadly, Malabar's owners are going through some family troubles and had to give up this sweet boy.

Malabar's previous owners report that he is great with kids of all ages. He's a little shy when he first meets a stranger, but he warms up quickly. He loves being around other dogs and would be happiest if he had a canine brother or sister in his new home. Malabar likes cats... for herding. He's never mean to the cats he's met, but he does like stalking them like he would some sheep!

And this adorable boy is housebroken, crate trained, and already microchipped! He would prefer a home where his humans are home more often than not. 

Border Collies are very intelligent dogs that are eager to please, and Malabar is no exception. He'll need a home where he has a "job," whether that's being a running partner, frisbee catcher, agility dog, or flyball dog. Malabar especially enjoys playing fetch! Once the games are over, he likes to chill out with his foster family and dream of his forever home... with you?
